A farmer performs a variety of general or specific farm work tasks which may vary according to season and weather conditions in caring for and managing livestock(specifically horses), farm buildings, and equipment. Equipment operation to include:
oTractor and skid steer loader with manure spreader and various implements oLawn mower, line trimmer, chain saw oTruck and truck/trailer combination Cares for and manages livestock and facilities:
oFeeding horses oCleaning barns and stalls oManure spreading oMowing pastures, lawns, and landscape oSnow plowing oFacility and equipment maintenance oStudent supervision in Farm Practicum Works with existing farm staff and students in day to day equine operations and supervises students in Farm Practicum. Services, adjusts and makes minor repairs to farm machines and equipment according to manufacturer's maintenance manuals and preventive maintenance schedules

Salary Range:
From $36772 to $45200 Annually
Minimum Qualification
Three years of farm experience or one year of farm experience plus completion of a high school agricultural course or of one year of agricultural education beyond the high school levelEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
